THE NEW RULES OF THE EU DATA PROTECTION, DESIGNED TO RE-ESTABLISH THE CITIZEN’S CONTROL ON THEIR PERSONAL DATA AND TO CREATE A HIGH AND UNIFORM LEVEL OF PROTECTION OF THE EU DATA, ADAPTED TO THE DIGITAL ERA, HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY EURO DEPUTIES ON THE 17TH OF APRIL.

The Data protection Regulation laying down minimum standards for the use of the data for the purposes of judicial authorities or the police will enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
The new rules shall include provisions concerning: the right to be forgotten, “consent clearly and in the affirmative” on data processing by the person concerned, the right to transfer your personal data to another supplier of services, the right to know if the data has been stolen, the safety that the policies related to personal data are explained in a clear and simple language, a better application of the law and fines of up to 4 % of the total sales figures of global company in order to prevent breaking the law. The package of data protection includes a Directive concerning the transfer of data for judicial purposes and the police force.
