LAW NO. 315/2013 FOR THE RATIFICATION OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF ROMANIA AND THE SWISS FEDERAL COUNCIL ON THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY RIGHT BY THE DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS OF THE TWO STATE

The Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Swiss Federal Council concerns the possibility of the Contracting Parties to acquire the property right on lands, for the proper functioning of the Diplomatic Missions and the Consular Offices.

In accordance with the Romanian-Swiss Agreement it shall be acquired the lands used for the diplomatic mission or consular office headquarter, as well as for the residence of the Head of Mission or Office.

The property right will be acquired by the Contracting Party through the diplomatic or consular mission in accordance with the national law of the sending State only for the purposes provided by law, under penalty of absolute nullity of the title.

The land thus acquired are exempt from taxes and duties, except the indirect ones which are normally
incorporated in the price of goods and services and those perceived as remuneration for specific services
rendered.

The Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and came into force at the date of the last notification by which the Contracting Parties were informed about the accomplishment of the internal procedures for entry into force.
