COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) NO. 1094/2013 OF 04 NOVEMBER 2013 ON THE ALLOCATION TO FRANCE AND THE UNITED KINGDOM OF ADDITIONAL DAYS AT SEA WITHIN ICES DIVISION VIIe

By the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 1094/2013, the European Commission has supplemented the fishing days of the ships being under the flag of France or United Kingdom, present in the division ICES VIIe.

So, between 1st of February 2013 – 31st of January 2014, the fishing vessels flying the French flag and carrying on board or deploying beam Trawls of mesh size equal to or greater than 80 mm, can navigate maximum 175 days/year.
If, in the same time, the fishing vessels flying the French flag and carrying on board or deploying static nets, including gill-nets, trammel-nets and tangle-nets, with mesh size equal to or greater than 220 mm, the fishing days shall increase to 178 days.
Regarding the United Kingdom, the fishing vessels, participating in the Division ICES VIIe, carrying on board or deploying static nets, including gill-nets, trammel-nets and tangle-nets, with mesh size equal to or greater than 80 mm, can navigate annually maximum 207 days.
The Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 1094/2013 is obligatory and directly applicable in all States Members of the European Union.
