THE PRESIDENT, KLAUS IOHANNIS, PROMULGATED THE LAW FOR AMENDING AND COMPLETING LAW NO. 248/2005 ON THE FREE MOVEMENT CIRCULATION ABROAD OF THE ROMANIAN CITIZENS, WHICH PROVIDES THAT THE DECLARATION OF THEIR PARENTS FOR THE MINORS WHO TRAVEL ABROAD MAY BE ISSUED FOR MORE TRIPS FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS, WITHOUT INDICATION OF THE DESTINATION.

The law provides an exception from the presentation of the parents’ or guardian declaration for the minors who have their domicile or residence established in the destination State, abolishing the indication of the movement purpose and the route in the content of the notarial declaration containing the parental consent of the journey by Romanian citizens abroad accompanied by another person.
The normative act provides for the introduction of the book electronic ID as a travel document and the issuing service passports for the staff of the public authorities who run for posts in the framework of organizations, institutions or international mission, if prompted by the Expressway or which occupy the functions of national expert on detachment of the EU institutions.
