THE EUROPEAN UNION HAS ANNOUNCED A SERIES OF MEASURES IN ORDER TO AVOID TAX EVASION, AS THE POPULIST GROUPS ACROSS THE WHOLE OF EUROPE ARE TRYING TO MAKE USE OF PANAMA'S PAPERS' SCANDAL TO ARGUE THAT THE GOVERNMENTS IGNORE INEQUALITY’S PROBLEM.

In the course of a two days meeting in Amsterdam, the EU Finance Ministers have agreed to cooperate for the creation of an increased system of fiscal transparency and for the preparation of black lists of tax heaven. “The risk of populism is very real if we do not act strong enough or fast”, stated the French Minister of Finance, Michel Sapin. They also agreed to exchange information regarding the business owners and to analyze the approval of new regulations, harsher, for the tax evasion and money laundering.
